The Chosen One

Once upon a time, a wolf was born in a Native Indian Tribe named Cheyenne. The fur of the wolf was whiter then the whitest snow, and her eyes more yellow then everything ever existed that was yellow. She was called Cheyenne, after the tribe. She grew up in the tribe, but another wolf was always with her. Okami Levin was his name, and he was white with red patterns. He was the protecter of Cheyenne.

2 years later

Cheyenne pads to a strange forest, she'd never been here before and was curious about anything. A White eagle flying next to her, following her all the time where ever she was going. A blizzard was going over her, and it was snowing really badly, making her vision not even a meter. She smiles at everything, the wonders of nature. She looks around to see if she could find Okami Levin, but couldn't. She was wondering where he was and what he was doing. She closed her eyes, felt her paws get grabbed and when she opened her eyes she saw Okami Levin, and she was in a cave. She smiled sweetly and innoscent, but he looked sirious. She sighs and sits down, ready to listen to what he had to say after he explained he had talked to the Gods. ''Your The Chosen One.'' He started looking at her with a sirious glare. ''And that's why I'm gonna be with you all the time to make sure you are safe and alright. Emotion, especially sadness can destroy the tribe.'' He said and sighes deeply, knowing she didn't want to be looked after all the time. Cheyenne nods silently, and lays down thinking about what to do now, and why she was The Chosen One. She looks at Okami Levin who shook his head knowing she wanted to go back outside and explore the area, but he thought it was to dangerous.
The next morning Cheyenne and Okami Levin took off, padding into the forest and watching around to make sure they were safe enough to travell. Demons roamed this land, so Cheyenne's white eagle and the normal eagle of Okami Levin flew above them to watch out for them and warn Cheyenne and Okami Levin when they saw one. But for now it was safe to travell, the demons mostly would come out at dawn and night. They came across a loner wolf, badly hurted by a demon the night they were in the cave and Okami Levin told her the news. Cheyenne wanted to help the pregnant fea, but Okami Levin only shook his head. After a while begging, Okami Levin gave in and Cheyenne carried her to a cave they would stay that night. What's your name?'' Cheyenne asked looking at her and closing her wounds with stitches, but making sure it wasn't hurting. ''Dianga.'' She said watching Cheyenne curiously with the stitches. ''My name's Cheyenne. And that grumpy over there is Okami Levin.'' She said as Okami Levin growled softly at the word 'Grumpy', that was refurring to him. The three fel asleep, a fire in the cave to keep them warm.
Cheyenne woke up, it was already pretty late in the morning and she was panting about a nightmare she had. She walks to Okami Levin and wakes him up. She told him the story, and he listend to it carefully. When she was finished, he pinned his ears and sighs deeply, knowing it was true and it would happen soon. But he never told her, to make sure she wouldn't worry about it. Cheyenne wakes up Dianga, and together with Okami Levin they walked again. But at a certain point, Dianga had to stay behind and go back to her family, and so Cheyenne and Okami Levin were alone, only having each other. They walk silently, scanning the area to make sure they were safe. And so they walk a few days on and on in the snow. Without any danger and sleeping at night in caves with a small fire to keep them warm.

Cheyenne's dream:
Cheyenne was running, and running fast from two demons that were behind her and following her. Okami Levin was running beside her, silently and not saying anything, knowing this was the day they would lose Cheyenne. He got pinned down by one of the demons, and Cheyenne by another. She growled, and struggled the best she could, but it was no use. The demon that looked like a normall wolf pulled out chains, and chained Cheyenne's muzzle so she couldn't make a sound or bite. Then her paws got chained together so she couldn't fight, flee or kick. They brought Cheyenne and Okami Levin, who looked really sadly and didn't dare to look at Cheyenne, to a big cave. Other demons were growling at them, and Cheyenne closed her eyes being really terrified. A stone table was in the middle, and Cheyenne got chained down on it. Making the chains around her muzzle and paws tighter, and to the table. Okami Levin was shaking of fear, but not even half as terrified as Cheyenne was. The demons had all kind of strange stuff, like needles, knives and all kind of other stuff. Okami Levin slowly stepped closer to Cheyenne, having a knife in his mouth and tears in his eyes. He slowly made a mark on her side, and Cheyenne growled at him not understanding. When he made the mark, that looked like a eagle, thw fur around it was covered in blood. The demons were laughing, and enjoying the pain Cheyenne had. Slowly, Okami Levin cutted open her chest, and at last Cheyenne's body became limp on the table. The demons smiled at Okami Levin who was crying softly, and tried to hold himself strong. The demons unchained Cheyenne, took the knife and broke his right front paw. Then left the cave as their work was done, and Okami Levin dragged Cheyenne off of the table. He slowly licked the blood away, and curled around her crying.

Cheyenne woke up scared and panting, looking around to make sure it wasn't real. She saw Okami wasn't sleeping, and layd down next to him with a deep sigh before looking at him but staying silent. His eyes telling her it was true, and that today it would be. Cheyenne swallowed as he said nothing, but his eyes did. It made her scared, and looks away. ''It is real isn't it?'' She asks softly, but actually already knowing the answer. Okami Levin nodded silently, not knowing what to say and staring at the fire silently.
Cheyenne sighed and when he stood up, she did too, but not really wanting to. She followes silently after her friend and protecter, who would kill her today. And when dawn came, it was true.
Cheyenne was running, again just like in her nightmare, and Okami Levin next to her and staying silent. She looks back to find three huge demons behind her, one that looked normal, the second one had three tails and three eyes, and the last one, who was the leader, four rat like tails with spikes on the end, three heads and five eyes. And he was fast, quikly catching up with the second demon behind him that pinned Okami Levin and chained his muzzle and paws. Soon, Cheyenne got pinned down to, by the ugly looking leader, he too chained her muzzle and paws. And so they got carried to a big cave, Cheyenne trying to break free, but knowing it was no use anyway. When the three demons walked in, the other demons were growling and standing in rows watching Cheyenne and Okami Levin looking scared. She saw the stone table, and closed her eyes sadly as she got chained down on it. Tight, her paws and muzzle almost breaking so tight it was. Okami Levin unchained, and with the knife in his mouth and tears rolling down his cheek walking to Cheyenne. ''I'm so sorry.'' He said and slowly made the mark on her side, seeing the tears rolling down the cheek of Cheyenne as she whinst in pain. Okami Levin looking away for a few seconds and hearing the demons laugh before the leader pointed at the chest of Cheyenne. He nods, and did the same as in the dream, cutting her chest open and then killed her, the demons laughing even harder as Cheyenne's body became limp. The leader of the demons unchained the dead wolf, and made her fur go all black. Then broke her four legs, and broke two legs of Okami Levin, both the front ones. Then, after a while laughing and watching Okami Levin suffering, they left the cave, leaving them behind. Slowly and softly, Okami Levin pulled Cheyenne off of the table and curled around her crying softly. He cried all night, untill he eventually fell asleep. Dreaming that Cheyenne never died, that she had never died, but knowing from deep inside it wasn't true what she was dreaming.
The next morning, a deer was before the nose of Okami Levin, and his paws were completely healed. Cheyenne was gone, nothing of her was there. Okami Levin ate the half, before walking out the cave still sad, thinking the demons had took Cheyenne, and were eating her. Then, when he looks up from his paws, his eyes widend in shock and happiness. Cheyenne was already waiting for him, sitting outside the cave without a scratch, or wound, or broken paws. Okami Levin runned to her and pinned her down laughing and licking her. And so the friends returned to the tribe, got mates and had a littre of pups. In happiness and pain, they stayed together, no matter what would happen. Never leaving each others side, and rasing the pups in the safety and happines of the tribe. And so the story ended, a sacrafise that came back alive. The Chosen One still alive, and happy.
